Thank you to all of you, you are generous and supportive to both Helen for doing such a tough physical challenge and to us and Toby.
Helen is one of Kim’s closest friends and has been since childhood and was devastated when we got the Dravet diagnosis for Toby, since then she’s been looking for a way to help us raise funds for Toby’s Trust and has come up with a really tough challenge.
This is the email she’s sent out to friends and family outlining her challenge:
I am attempting to do something I have never done before…… A triathlon. I have entered the Ashington Sprint Triathlon in an attempt to raise some money for a very good cause (details below). The event involves me swimming (in a pool) 400m, cycling 20km and then running 5km. It’s on the 4th may and training has commenced, I have even managed to attempt to string a cycle and a run together (but only once)! It was very surreal running after cycling.
Please spare a few quid to sponsor me in support of my very good friends’ little boy, who is a very poorly little lad.
